Just a final note. I'd like to thank all of you so very very much for your prayers,love, and words of encouragement. I was happy to do this post for all.
Chris will be sadly missed, but she's with God, and we must all rejoice.

MEMORIAL SERVICE

I just wanted to thank everyone again for all of your thoughts and prayers, we sure do appreciate the outpouring of support!

The family had a private viewing yesterday to see Chris one last time and to say goodbye before she's cremated. She looked very beautiful and peaceful.

There will be a memorial service this Thursday, March 18th at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Greenville. The family will be there at 10:00a.m., with the service at 11:00 and a luncheon immediately following the service.

Chris has finally went home, she passed away today at 2:30, surronded by her sons, their wives and her sister Connie. She is indeed in a better place and her suffering is no more.

Thank you all for your support, thoughts, prayers and love.

I will update the blog again here in the next day or 2 with information on Chris's memorial which we're thinking will be this Thursday at St Pauls Lutheran Church here in Greenville.

Chris has had a difficult day today. The Hospice nurse was here around noon and her vitals are very weak. She has slept the whole day and other than a slight nod when spoken to is non-responsive. The whole family has been here for the day to visit, comfort eachother and say goodbyes. Connie was here for most of the day, the Warners stopped as well as the Rasmussens, Ray Bremmer, Al Wheeler, Jeremy's in-laws stopped and brought dinner, neighbors... the Pastor was also here and said a nice series of prayers preparing her to come home. She has recieved a lot of calls today from friends and family as well. We are all praying that the Lord takes her home gracefully. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts!

Chris's sister has arrived (Connie) and I know that she is pleased. She isn't with it today and our feelings are that she won't be with us much longer. My prayer is that God will just take her home so she dosen't have to linger. I have to go. Rog

We had a fair day today. David came and spent the day with Chris and myself. At 10:00 Pastor was here for a visit and we also had communion which was great. Thank you Pastor. Chris had her in & outs today but seemed a little brighter when not sleeping. Hospice will be here Thurs. as well as her sister Connie and we are glad for that. She spent her first nite in the hospital bed we have, ang let me tell you I would of rather cut my arm off. But it is just too hard to get in and out of our bed. Well it's time to look at dinner, not sure if Chris will wake for it or just breakfast, which she loves. So see you all Thurs. and we thank you all.

Boy I'm early today. Chris seems to have had a good nite. Had a Big breakfast, got cleaned up, then back to sleep. She spends more and more time sleeping and that's ok. We have an aid coming at noon. Not sure what all needs be done, but we'll let her determine that. She keeps saying she would like this feeling to end. (her brain)
This is probably getting old, but please just pray for Chris, and sending your love.

Gee here it is Mon. already. Chris had a good weekend though Sun afternoon she went by-by and didn't even watch the Mich/Mich St basketball game (that never happens) We had our Hospice nurse this morning and all was ok. Jeremy & Troy have been here most ot day and Chris just loves it. This also gave me chance to get over to the tax man and do some other things. ConLee your pad is ready:) Well better get busy, seems like there always something that has to be done. Love you guys.

Chris had her bath and all cleaned up, then off to nap time. I had Hospice here today and signed up for there care. I know the nurse very well, she is a strong christian woman and her husband and I are goood friends. That will help. Chris is sleeping a lot these days which is hard, but good for her. Not much to say today except Thank you all for your prayers. We do feel them and it is wonderful. God bless. Rog & Chris

Oh my where do I start? As you know that we seen Dr. VandeWoude this morning and the report I have for you is not good. We had the three Son's and their Wifes with us (Thank You Lord) because we now know what to expect. Chris has six (6) months or less and we won't know if the Rads did any good for a couple weeks yet. She will have a MRI of the brain to see if the tumors have gone down. If they haven't then there will be no more treatment done. If they see progress then maybe oral cemo, but it will not extent her life. I have to go, can't talk now. Love you all. Chris & Rog

Well we are just kicking back today, which we are enjoying. Chris feels much better today, and looking forward to seeing the Dr. in the morning. Troy was over this morning and watched over Chris as I needed to run a bunch of honey dooos?? Need to go and pay bills so we'll let you all know more after tommorrow. Love all you guys. Rog

We are done with Rads, thank the Lord. Chris today for some reason seems to be just whipped, so she will sleep for the day and nite. Dr. said that's ok except she is so weak she can hardly get up unless I lift her. We have Tues off so she can rest up. Just a thank you again for your love and prayers. Rog

WE are still recovering from the birthday party, but it was a great time. We had Rads today so Chris is very tired. Tues. is the last of the Rads and Thurs we meet with the Dr. to see where we go from here. It looks like it will be about two weeks before anything will happen. We celebrated Chris's 62nd birthday today. It was nice to have everyone together, all the boys, the wives and the grand kids. Chris's spirits are high, though she's very tired from the radiation, 2 more days left, Monday and Tuesday, then we're finished with that for the meantime. YES YES YES we are finally home at last. I sure hope we don't have to do that again. Chris is very tired this afternoon, but that is due to the Rads and then getting ready to come home. So it will be an early bath and we'll work on the hair as it is now coming out. We go in the morning for Rads then we are home for two and a half days. OH YA. Love you guys, and thank you. This is just a repeat of yesterday. The Dr. was just here and said that the lung looks much better and we may go home Thurs. if the X-ray at 3:00pm is good. Chris is feeling gooood today and we walked up and down the hall a couple of times. Also, she is now able to move her head left and right without it making her dizzy. It sure is nice to post early, so I'll just say keep those prayers coming. Thank You. Rog

Yep, she didn't get to come home today. Looks like they will put a larger tube in the chest to make this lung come up, so maybe Thur. Pastor Betsy was with us today and we shared the greatest love God has to offer. Thank you Pastor. WE both felt better after. Chris has five more Rads, then we meet with Dr. Vanderwoude to go over the options we have. This will happen Mar 4-10. People ask what can we do? Just Prayers And Love. Thank You Rog

Here we are Mon. and it starts all over again. As you guessed we didn't get discharged from the hospital this weekend, not on Mon, and not to sure with Tue. Her lung just will not stay up. We also talked with her main Dr. this afternoon and found out which type of cancer it is. It is not curable. All we can do is try and slow it down. WE had a snow storm over night so it wasn't nice driving in this morning. Well my eyes are playing tricks on me, so off to bed. 5:30pm See ya

Oh my?? Well, as you all know Chris's Biopsy went good, but three hours later her lung deflated, well Fri it was worse. Fri at noon she was admitted to Butterwoth/Spectrum and is still there as of Fri night. We hope that the lung will stay up tonight, and that she can come home Sat. We also found out that this cancer is not a breast jump. It is a new dragon so the fight is on the way. Hope to meet with Drs. Mon. to see where we go from here. Again I THANK YOU for your PRAYERS and LOVE. I'm going to bed. zzzzz

5:45pm, just got home and it was a very long hard day for Chris. We had to be there at 8:30 for Rads. up stair for a lung biopsy which went good , but the lung collapsed, so it got wild. But it seems she's ok and we were sent home. Back in the morning for Rads, and then upstairs for X-Ray and hopefully she gets the tube out. Thanks again for your prayers and love. Nite-Nite

Today Chris seemed a little brighter or cheerful,and that was good.
We had snow last night, so the drive down was on the slow side. Wed.
is her biopsy and we should know in 5-7 days what kind of lung cancer we are dealing
with. Again we both thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

We started back this morning, and all went good. She got some meds for radiation sickness, and that helped. No up chucking. Please keep her in your prayers for Wed. We have a lung biopsy, so it will be a long day. Thanks to all.

We just had number three (3) of 15. It seems to make her very sick for the late afternoon. At least it's Fri. , So we get a couple days off.
